i am new here

Well, thank you for clicking that button that brought you to this page – “I am new here”! On this page we want to start a discussion with you whether you are new to church or new to Christianity. We want to believe that you have heard the word Church before but if what it represents or means is new to you, then read more. There is a general misconception that Church is a building that people go on a particular day to sing hyms and pray but rather it is really just all about the gathering together of Christians to share some time together to read the bible, sing songs and fellowship together Church is all about the brother by your side and the sister in front of you and has little to do with the building. We might as well be in a friend’s kitchen to have church.

There is however a common factor that makes the gathering of a group of people to be called church – and it is that they are Christians. Wondering who a Christian is? A Christian is someone who realizes that he was put here on earth by God to worship and please him. However, we were born as sinners who do not have a relationship with God and can therefore not please him naturally. So to become a Christian is all about acknowledging God and that we are sinners who need to be made right with God. This is only possible through accepting the atonement that comes from God’s only son, Jesus, dying for us in order for our sins to be counted to Jesus as His so that we are no longer guilty of those sins. This way, Jesus becomes your Lord and saviour and that begins a lifelong, once for ever restored relationship of Father God and sons and daughters you and I. This only happens by faith and not by logic or analytical reasoning.

Once we are now in a relationship with God through accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour then it is always good to attend a local church where you can find other Christians with whom you fellowship and grow. If you need to know more about becoming a Christian or you have questions for us about faith in God, then please contact us and we will be glad to share more with you.

Your First Time at our Sunday Service
Our Sunday Service starts at 10am and when you arrive you’ll be greeted by members of our ushering team who will help you locate a seat. They will also be glad to answer any questions you may have. If you have kids you’ll be directed to take them to the the appropriate class for them to mingle with other kids and have fun while learning about the Lord. You’re welcome to come in and check out the classroom to see what your children will be learning!

Come As You Are
At the RCCG Holy Ghost Zone, it’s all a bask in God’s family. You’ll see people dressed up and some dressed down. You’ll meet people from different races, the young and not so young. The common factor to our gathering What is that we all love the Lord and one another so really just come as you are.

Praise and Worship
When we start to sing, you may see people raise their hands, or kneel, or stand and most of the songs can be contemporary and full of rhythm. And then comes the time to pray where you’ll see people probably going forward to be prayed for. You are welcome to come forward for prayers too! We love doing that anyway.

Bible Teaching

Shortly after the worship session a speaker comes up to deliver a teaching from the Bible and this may cause you to make changes to your lifestyle. This is good and we also encourage you to com back to the sermon page of the website to listen again.

RCCG Holy Ghost Zone is a family to us where we support one another, grow in our faith and serve with our gifts. We believe you will like it here!

We are normally done by 11.30am.
