There are two kinds of divine encounter: when someone meets with God and when God Himself comes visiting. The latter offers greater benefits for the visited.

When God visits an individual, that fellow cannot remain the same. Usually, such divine visits are attracted during critical periods in the life of the fellow visited. According to our reading, God visited Abraham when the hope of becoming a father was lost. After 25 years of waiting, God’s promise to him looked like a fairy tale. Has God promised you something and it seems He might have forgotten it? The Lord has not forgotten you.

He will visit you and every pending promise He has made will be fulfilled in Jesus’ Name.
“To whom God would make known what is the richest of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col 1:27). When God visits you, lost hope will be restored. Have you lost hope of making it in life, finding a marriage partner, finding a good job, etc.? Your hope is being restored now. In Genesis 19:1, destruction was imminent on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Their residents were about to be roasted alive by a landmark inferno that no national fire service could put out.Just before the fiery judgement, Lot had visitors from the Heavenly planet and he and his immediate family were rescued.His destruction had turned into a testimony! Every destructive plot against you and your family shall become a testimony.

The One visiting is the One who promised in John 10:10 that His visit delivers life, yes, abundant life. His visit makes the great greater, and turns curses into blessings. All you need is just a visit!
In 1 Kings 17:8-16, a widow was facing her worst nightmare: she had a meal left for herself and her son. Death was mockingly starring at her. Then came a visitor sent by God.He made her an offer and she accepted it. Death was disappointed and put to shame. The woman lived better than she ever lived.

This season, the Lord will visit you. Prepare for His visit. Get rid of every sin in your life. Obey Him completely. Be prayerful and sensitive to His call.

You will experience a divine encounter that will fill your container of joy.

Some year ago, I heard a true story of man who was jailed in America because a woman alleged he raped her. Four years into his jail term, the woman confessed she lied against the man. So the case was re-opened in court. The lawyer of the plaintiff argued that if she lied the first time, what was the assurance that she was not lying this time around. So they returned the man to continue his jail term for a crime he did not commit. Today, there are many in the prison who knows nothing about the crime for which they are imprison. You shall not suffer for what you know nothing about in Jesus Name.

I went to pray for patients in the cancer ward of a hospital one day. I saw a boy who had cancer of the eye. One of his eye balls had become almost as large as half of his head. I also saw a woman with cancer of the breast. One breast had become almost as large as her body. Then I saw one of the female cancer patients singing praises to God and I was surprised. She said she was singing because she knew she was going to die soon and would be going to Heaven. If you die now, where are you going? Some year ago I went to Egypt and the pastor I went to see told me he was going to a place they call the City of the Dead.

There were several graves of those who die during the Second World War. On each grave was a little house built with cellophane, and there lived many who had no money to pay for an accommodation. Once a year, when the relatives of the dead want to visit the graves of their loves ones, these grave residents would move out in the morning and return by evening when those relatives would have left. No matter how had your situation may be financially, you are not living in a grave yard like these ones. This call for thanksgiving. If the cancer patient on her way to death could praise God, what about you?

You have so many reasons to thank God. Imagine your life: good health, family, job or business, daily provision of food, shelter over your head, education qualification, and ministry, God’s grace on your life, God’s bright plan for your future, heavenly reward and eternity in Heaven.
