Ministries

Those were the words of our Lord Jesus Christ to in a parable that he told to his disciples (Luke 19 vs. 13)  which means invest this talent (or money) until I return back. It was an injunction to tell his disciples to get involved in the issues of life but that they should be profitable. We are doing just that here at the RCCG Holy Ghost Zone.

Our members’ involvement in ministry is mainly twofold – outreach to our community local and the larger society to share our faith and contribute to societal development and provision of small groups for believers to have fellowship, develop gifts and abilities, grow in God’s grace and truly be a blessing to others. These visions happen through specific minsitry areas and they keep growing assording to how the Lord gives us capacity and vision. A few are described below and you are welcome to contact the pastoral team by email (pastorosunde@rccgholyghostzone.org.uk) to find out more.

Men’s Ministry

We have a vibrant men’s group here where men connect with each other for encouragement and spiritual sharpening. There are regular meeting where the group gathers to pray together, share their burdens and find it as a safe discussion forum to search for the light in the word that it sheds on a man’s path as a Christian. The men’s group comprises both the young and those over 50.

There are no formalities to attending our meetings, just turn up at the next one and share in the blessings of unity.

Women’s Ministry

The Women’s group exists as a community for women within the church to come together to pray, to learn and to be encouraged with an outward focus to reach women and young girls in the community for the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord has put His love in our hearts which gives us the desire to see every woman grow in faith and in godliness and become builders of their home as the scripture says.

We would love to see the following happen in the lives of women;

• Strong faith in God

• Growth, simplicity and genuineness in her relationships

• Living with integrity and a testimony in the community

To become all of these and more, we are regularly engaged with different growth and development channels – conferences, prayer meetings, women’s events, night vigils etc. The overall aim is not to become meeting attendees but for God to work on our hearts and who we are until Christ can be read in us by all who encounter us.
Our programs are open to every woman to attend. We welcome those who are not members of this church or of any church. Contact the Women’s ministry via email at women@rccgholyghostzone.org.uk.

Children’s Ministry

children learnThe Children’s ministry is a place where we teach basic and foundational bible truths to our kids in a loving and simple manner. The teachers in the kiddies club organize the kids into groups where they practice different games, sing together and listen to dramatized bible stories in a way that builds the knowledge of God in them.

All of this is done in a safe and secure environment within their own age groups under the supervision of Sunday school teachers who love kids and have a calling to support parents to raise godly children.

We also welcome parents who want to volunteer their time to support in the children’s ministry

Evangelism & Intercessory Ministry

One of the commandments that Jesus left his followers is found in Mathew 28 vs 19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. It is a commission to us to go and reach out to people in love sharing the faith and grace that we have received from God with as many as possible so that they too can come to enjoy that same grace that saves us from sins and which sets us on a path to living in a right standing with God. Therefore we have regular sessions where the evangelism team go out to meet people and engage them in conversations about God with the ultimate aim of leading them to Christ.

If we would talk to people about a loving God, then we would talk to God about the people he loves and gave his son Jesus Christ for. The Intercessory team exists primarily to pray for people to turn from sins and to know Jesus and as well pray for different brothers and sisters in the church who need God’s help in their circumstances. Please feel free to drop a prayer request on the prayer request form and we will get praying.

We pray, God answers!
